Our company specializes in analyzing, identifying, and reducing unfair property tax assessment, resulting in lower property taxes. Property Value Consultants will prepare a tax analysis of your property, formulate a well researched and documented assessment position, file all the necessary paperwork, and negotiate with tax officials and/or the appraisal review board to seek a reduction in your property tax assessment. Taxpayers should note that property tax assessments are an assessor opinion of value based on mass appraisal and other averaging techniques which often reflect values not representative of true market value. Our firm strives hard to obtain the absolute lowest assessed value for each property represented. We accomplish this with a staff of highly qualified professionals who are well versed in market valuation, assessment practices, and the rights of taxpayers in the appeal process. Property Value Consultants affiliations with full service real estate companies and brokerage operations enables us to negotiate fair and equitable settlements based on up-to-date sales information, rental rates,
expenses, cap rates, etc., derived from recent transactions in the various markets. Additionally, specialized market studies such as Roddy Reports, REVAC, IREM, and BOMA are used to support valuation positions.
Our firm represents properties all across Texas with corporate affiliations nationwide. The types of properties we negotiate include multifamily, office, land, industrial, hotels, and mixed use. The company is directed by its president, Michael Turner, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University, and who is a Texas Certified Senior Property Tax Consultant. Mr. Turner’s previous employment included ten years with Hall Financial Group, in charge of tax appeals nationwide of their multifamily, office, and land holdings exceeding three billion dollars.
Fee Structure
Fees are based on a percentage of tax savings. Property Value Consultants is compensated only if we secure a reduction in your property tax.
